Route

The route is tentative, and will be based on the political environment and security situation in each nation we attempt to enter and cross. It is very likely to change, and will be updated as we travel. We have completed extensive research on both the Eastern and Western routes, but will finalize our plans as we reach each country (things change very quickly throughout Africa). At this point we think the eastern route offers us the best chance of making it to our destination with the least amount of trouble. In the West the current situation caused by AQIM activities in Mali and Mauritania make it wise to pursue the route through Egypt down.
