The third Optima Yellow Top battery which runs our refrigerator, the exterior lighting from ELS, and our winch. Also pictured is the IBS 300w inverter which allows us to charge electrical items with a normal plug. It is limited to 300w of items, and also draws heavily on the battery when it is turned on.
166L Long Ranger auxiliary fuel tank. Our tank is rigged in with original Toyota parts for their auxiliary tanks that shipped in Land Cruisers going to Australia. It’s a beautiful system as there is no pump required, just a valve that switched seamlessly from one tank to the other.
This valve manually controls which tank is being filled: in for the main fuel tank, and out for the auxiliary tank.
Switches to control the LEDs from Expedition Lighting Systems: Front rear, left and right, with an extra switch for accessories installed later.
Fuel gauge for auxiliary fuel tank, switch that controls the valve that places either the main or auxiliary fuel tank in operation, and IBS battery monitor display for the third battery (accessories).
IBS 200A Relay for dual battery system.
!HD-FT 4.2L Turbo Diesel Engine with IBS Dual Battery Relay and Optima Yellow-Top batteries. The starter is 24v and there is a third battery in the truck for accessories.
Optima Yellow top batteries: Enough cold cranking amps to start the truck and run lights, the fridge, and the winch, but in deep cycle so that it can be discharged and charged hundreds of times rather then 2 or 3.
